Setup for road trippers and longer stay folks. Drive up rooms and wide doors. Exterior doors and frame are metal and have a solid deadbolt, felt very secure. My room had a good sized mini fridge and a proper coffee maker that came with a little pot of ground coffee. Internet was fast and connected easily. Got in late so the grocery store was closed but the Co-Op gas station had enough of a selection to get by. Bedding was clean, bed was medium firmness and comfortable. Huge tub and shower. TLDR: updated rooms, clean, and so many lovely amenities! Would stay again.
Reconstructed after fire and opened in April 2017. On my visit, the food was good. The facility was clean and new. Staff were friendly. Prices were reasonable with the portions provided. Service was a touch slow, but, they were new so I'm sure that will improve
Hotel is about 3 years old, rooms are excellent and clean, the beds are very comfortable. We arrived on a Thursday at 5:45pm and was told that the restaurant was closing at 6pm. The staff stated that they would stay open longer to accommodate our group to ensure we were able to get supper. They also came in early the next two mornings to serve us breakfast so we could get an early start for snowmobiling.
We spent the weekend here with our snowmobile club recently. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and between the hotel and cafe everyone was very accomodating. Every meal we had in the restaurant was great. If you are hungry at breakfast order the pancakes, you will not regret it.
Had to take a rest from driving during a storm. I found my room squeaky clean. Think I found my new place to stay if I want to visit Steep Rock or the Narrows for the night. Restaurant made excellent to go Denver and Breakfast bun.
Never stayed but I have heard good things about the rooms. Rooms are new, they're only a few years old. The whole building is new. The bar is cozy and has every drink you may want. The food in the restaurant is very good but can be a bit pricey.
The restaurant was incredible, absolutely 5 stars and if I could give more I would. The Moosehorn monster burger was better than anything I have had in Canada and I eat a lot of burgers. The paddy was everything you want, juicy, homemade, dripping with sweet juices of flavour that simply explode in your mouth. I ordered it without bacon. Even the bun glistened! I had to take a photo. Even the fries were perfect, absolutely crispy on the outside and not pasty or undercooked. The gravy was the perfect amount of salty not overwhelming, not a bland mix of flour and fat with no seasoning, this was good! Service was amazing as well, we were greeted as we came in and directed to sit anywhere. It wasn’t one of those awkward things where you go into a restaurant you’ve never been and the staff stare at you, no this was friendly fast service. We arrived at 7pm after a very hard long day, now you’d half expect at the end of the day the kitchen and staff to be tired and wanting to leave but you sure couldn’t tell. Simply amazing. Already planned another trip to Moosehorn just to eat there.
Great motel right on Highway 6, owner was very nice and accommodating, very reasonable rate, very clean, comfortable bed. Good sized fridge, microwave coffee maker. Overall a well appointed motel room. Will here stay again.
